Exploring USDA Small Business Innovation Research Grants

Thursday, June 14, 2018

Every year the United States Department of Agriculture awards grants (up to $100,000 per successful applicant) to small business owners, who link with researchers to test solutions to rural community problems through their Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. This free workshop will introduce participants to the SBIR, determine the “fit” between the problem you have identified and a grant project, and (unique to this grant awareness program) launch follow-on coaching to support you as you build your grant proposal. In addition to production agriculture-related innovations, successful projects are those resulting in new scientific information to improve overall quality of life in rural communities.
