    Sustainable Energy Education and Development Support (SEEDS) offers a demonstration of the Rocket Composter, which was obtain through a student-launched initiative with a county-written grant that made Wayne Highland School District the first in school in Pennsylvania to have one. Speakers at the forum including SEEDS Founding member Chuck Heyn, Wayne County Recycling Center Director Randy Heller and Himalayan Institute Business Operations Director Stephen Moulton.

  5. Downtown Hawley Partnership 10th Anniversary Dinner Meeting

    The Downtown Hawley Partnership has announced plans to celebrate the organization's tenth annual meeting in the Great Hall of the Hawley United Methodist Church. The event uncludes a buffet dinner and a presentation on the organization's accomplishments over the past year and plan for 2018-19. Terri Dennison, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Route 6 Alliance will speak about various initiatives that impact communities along the Route 6 Heritage Corridor. A highlight of the evening will also include the presentation of the 10th annual “Outstanding Contributions to the Community” recognition in three categories – by a for-profit, a non-profit, and an individual. The Delaware Highlands Conservancy and Clemleddy Constructio will receive the non-profit and for profit awards respectively. The Individual award winner will be revealed that evening.
