    This is an accelerated, eight-day Course taking place in one month instead of our traditional Course which spans three months. Take note to the dates to the left of this email and your availability to complete the Course requirements in the allotted period of time. The Course is for new employment professionals who have been on the job under one year, or can serve as a comprehensive refresher for others who have a responsibility of finding and supporting employment for individuals with disabilities. ** THIS COURSE MEETS THE NEW ODP WAIVER RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS **

  1. Glowforge Laser Cutter Training

    In three sessions, learn beginning and intermediate skills on the Glowforge Laser cutting machine. Work on your own project, hands on with one-on- one instruction. Class Size: Limited to 8, minimum of 3, registration is required. Instructor Lisa Glover is a designer with a background in Engineering, Architecture and Fine Art. She has run 3 successful Kickstarter campaigns, created STEAM curricula for several summer camps, and is now helping millions of kids become makers through her work at Highlights for Children. Her passion is merging technology with craft to design creations that inspire kids of all ages.

  2. Plein Painting Workshop "The Lake at Lacawac"

    Instructors Renee Emanuel, NSPC&A, and Bill Teitsworth, AWS have conducted annual painting workshops at Lacawac for over 25 years. Workshop day will begin with an on-location demo. The day continues with plenty of group and individual instruction, mini-demos as needed, and group critique at 4:00 pm. Slide presentation (Power Point) on contemporary landscape painting during the Saturday “working lunch. Painters in any medium, and at all levels, beginner to advanced, are welcome.
