    August 11, 2018, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary

The band plays highly melodic, catchy, emotionally intense contemporary jazz music written by leader and master composer Lao Tizer. This is a high-octane jazz fusion music with long improvisational passages and intricately crafted motifs and counterpoint. Lao Tizer composes music driven by an explosive mix of jazz, rock, classical, and jam band influences along with Afro-Cuban and world rhythms. This powerful group of star musicians (most of whom have received Grammy nominations in their own right) includes jazz guitarist and composer Chieli Minucci and violin virtuoso Karen Briggs. Even those of you who are not familiar with the intricacies of modern jazz will want to listen to the fun, exhilarating music of Tizer.
